President Donald Trump's administration has diverted a military aid package of 20,000 anti-UAV missiles intended to be sent to Ukraine to U.S. forces in the Middle East
The above information was revealed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with ABC News on June 8.
The Ukrainian leader said that the deal to supply 20,000 anti-unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was signed under President Joe Biden, to help Kiev counter the Shahed UAVs used by Russia in the attacks.
"We have a big problem with Shahed. We have placed our expectations on this aid package of 20,000 missiles. The Shahed anti-missiles are not expensive but use special technology," President Zelensky said, expressing disappointment — "But on the morning of June 8, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that the United States had transferred those missiles to the Middle East."

President Volodymyr Zelensky also warned that without military aid from the United States, Russia would have "more chances" of winning the conflict and Ukraine would suffer "much greater losses."
In addition to calling for the resumption of military aid, the Ukrainian president also urged the United States and other countries to impose more new economic sanctions on Russia.
